Shinnyom David Park
President & Co-Founder
I am a senior at the Charter School of Wilmington, driven by a passion for positively impacting those around me.
As President and Co-Founder of Alpha Centauri Tutoring, I lead a mission dedicated to empowering students by offering free, high-quality tutoring. I currently tutor in math, English, and social science, with a focus on supporting under-resourced communities in Delaware.
Beyond my academic and leadership commitments, I am deeply devoted to music, playing the viola with a dedication that has earned me prestigious scholarships and awards, and also the opportunity to play alongside the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra and lead the Delaware All-State Orchestra. I also find joy in playing soccer, lacrosse, exploring fashion, and cherishing time with friends and family, especially during the winter season.
Adarsh Ramamurthy
Vice President
I am a senior at the Charter School of Wilmington, committed to inspiring a love for learning in those around me.
As Vice President of Alpha Centauri, I design customized lesson plans in math and English for elementary school students, fostering both skill development and confidence. I also currently tutor 2 students in English.
Additionally, as co-founder of the Delaware Future Engineers Network, I work to create equitable access to engineering education for Delaware students. Beyond these leadership roles, I love learning about the sciences, having earned national-level honors in biology, chemistry, and math olympiads. I’m also deeply engaged in research across molecular biology, computational bioengineering, and materials science at various universities.
In my free time, you’ll often find me performing Bollywood dance, working out, or unwinding with friends at pick-up basketball games.
Rohan Sivva
Secretary/Tech Lead
I am a senior at the Charter School of Wilmington, and I hope to provide students equal opportunities to learning and education.
In Alpha Centauri, I work with creating easy-to-access education opportunities for students through our website and other social media platforms.
Outside of Alpha Centauri, I compete on a robotics team, work on biological research at the University of Delaware, and help younger students learn how to code.
Sasan Sedighi
Co-founder
I am a sophomore at the University of Pennsylvania studying bioengineering with a minor in engineering entrepreneurship.
I co-founded Alpha Centauri Tutoring in 2021 in order to match underrepresented students with free volunteer tutors through remote tutoring sessions. I also served as a tutor myself to 5 students in math, English, SAT, and coding. I grew the program to include 3 summer classes offered in the summers of 2022 and 2023 in Geometry, Algebra, and Coding.
Beyond academics and Alpha Centauri, I am involved with MoonDash ventures where I connect early-stage startups with venture capital and angel investor sources. My involvements also include pro-bono consulting for NGOs such as WWF through Global Research and Consulting. In my free time, I like to watch and play soccer, play volleyball, visit museums, and draw album covers.
Suraj Reddy
Co-founder
I’m an 18-year-old researcher, entrepreneur, and student at MIT studying electrical engineering and computer science (Course 6-5) and double majoring in math (Course 18). I’ve worked at Stanford, University of Delaware, and Nasa as a first author and project lead. I’m a Davidson fellow and a Coca-Cola scholar.
I co-founded Alpha Centauri Tutoring with Sasan and David in 2021 after seeing the dubious amounts of children affected from COVID-19 and online education.
In my free time, I play the guitar, play soccer and basketball, and cook.
